Ling Xiao wasn’t so stupid as to rush up to You Songxi and risk his life. In fact, he would probably be killed before he could even get close. To get the father and son duo to fight was an easy feat to achieve for Ling Xiao. What caused him more of a headache was his own Master. He heard his comrades mention how Master doted on Mistress and experienced that for himself, too. So long as his cute Mistress’ life was in the hands of the enemy, Master wouldn’t make a move.
If things went on like this, Cheng Qiantai would only be trampled on.
A light bulb suddenly lit up in Ling Xiao’s mind in this moment of desperation, a cold glint shining in his eyes. “Mistress, I’m doing this for Master. Don’t blame me!”
When Ling Xiao was busy thinking of a way, Cheng Qiantai bellowed out, “You Songxi, release my wife! If you can defeat me, I’ll cooperate with you!”
You Songxi shook his head. “Sect Master Cheng, I’ve always acted with prudence. If I release your wife, you’ll fight me to the death. I, You Songxi, am not one to rashly take risks.”
Breep! An ear-piercing cry rang out in the night sky, resonating throughout the Moon River Sect. The sharp sound caught everyone’s attention. “What’s going on?”
Cheng Qiantai, Li Yuanhuan, and Cheng Yu were astonished, confusion plastered across their faces. They knew this sound all too well. It was the warning signal of the Northern Jade Sect!
“There’s still a disciple of the Northern Jade Sect alive and well?” You Songxi’s face sank. “Kill him!”
“Kill them all!” At this moment, screams of murder echoed throughout the sect as a large group of people ran over from the dining hall. They were the disciples of the Northern Jade Sect and Everlasting Pool Sect. When they heard the signal, they knew it was their time to shine. They were ready to fight!
You Songxi’s face turned cold. “Kill them all!”
More than 200 disciples of the Moon River Sect turned around and ran straight at the disciples from the Everlasting Pool Sect and the Northern Jade Sect.
Qian Gui and Qian Hai felt reassured when they saw that their disciples were safe and sound. Someone shouted out at this moment, “Qian Gui, if you don’t make a move now, when will you?!”
Qian Gui and his son heard this and thought to themselves. That’s right! Our disciples are unharmed. Cheng Qiantai is here, too. Why should two blue ranked Chain Soul Masters be afraid of you, You Songxi?

Dong Xuan also wanted to attack, but he didn’t dare to rashly rush into battle. It really was a pity his sword was cocked on Cheng Shi’s neck. However, it had one advantage—Cheng Qiantai, Cheng Yu, and Li Yuanhuan didn’t dare to attack. They could only stand there, glowering at the confrontation.
All of a sudden, a silhouette charged at Cheng Shi and Dong Xuan at lightning speed. The silhouette held a strange black weapon in his hands, aiming it at Cheng Shi’s head!
Li Yuanhuan and Cheng Qiantai didn’t need to think much about it and clearly saw who that person was with a single glance. Who could it be if not Ling Xiao?

Dong Xuan was greatly startled. This won’t do! If this guy kills Cheng Shi, Cheng Qiantai will be free from our control!
Dong Xuan’s first response was to move the sword away from Cheng Shi’s neck and block the attack. Clank! Dong Xuan steadily sent his opponent flying with his strength as a yellow ranked Chain Soul Master.
Even so, he still felt his arm go numb if only for a second. His reaction speed slowed down by just a hint. But that was all it took. In that instant, Dong Xuan was greeted by the bright tip of a pike.
This pike was extremely precise, just about avoiding Cheng Shi as it headed straight for Dong Xuan’s throat. Even if Dong Xuan wanted to use Cheng Shi as a shield, he was already too late. He had no choice but to let go of Cheng Shi’s hand and take a few steps back.

Before he could finish his sentence, a bright blue soulforce the shape of a knife flew at him, detaching his head from his neck with a plop. Blood incessantly sprouted out from his neck like a faulty pipe. That headless body took three steps before stopping.
Seeing his Prime Disciple fall after the knife slashed his brains, You Songxi sneered, “Sect Master Cheng is so impressive!”
Cheng Qiantai ignored You Songxi’s mockery and ridicule as he coldly ordered his disciples, “Yu’er, protect your aunt. Yuanhuan and Xiao’er, go over and help your comrades. Leave no one from the Moon River Sect alive!”
“Yes, Master!” Li Yuanhuan and Ling Xiao answered before charging at the enemy.
Qian Gui had a cold look on his face. “Ah Hai, go help them. Father will take care of You Songxi!”
You Songxi took out a delicate handkerchief and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. A mischievous, hollow laughter slipped from his lips. “Alas, you guys still don’t know how times have changed. You still believe that the Seven Grand Holy Lands is exterminating the Demonic Sect just to wipe the demons from the face of the earth. To create a land of peace, where the inhabitants of the Clear Sky Continent can live a tranquil life. You’re wrong! When did we really purge the world of Demonic Soul Masters after killing them for so many years? Those guys are only annexing our small sects one by one under the false pretense of exterminating demons! We were never as ambitious as the Seven Grand Holy Lands, to reign supreme over all. But that didn’t matter until they started competing with each other. How could they expand their strength and beat the others, if not by turning to our sects, the smaller ones, and annexing us?”
Cheng Qiantai knew the words of You Songxi contained the truth, but he didn’t approve of the way You Songxi did things. Not to mention that You Songxi had used his precious wife’s life to threaten him. In fact, that was what Cheng Qiantai couldn’t endure the most. “You Songxi, cut your crap! One of us is going to die today! Sect Mast Qian, let’s go!”
“Yes!” Qian Gui was also furious. He took out his weapon, a pair of snickersnees and the both of them flanked You Songxi.
You Songxi brandished a large halberd and hollered, “Come at me! I, your father, will accompany you to your deaths!”
The disciples of the Moon River Sect were originally dominating the battlefield in terms of numbers. But when Ling Xiao, Li Yuanhuan, and Qian Hai joined the fray, everything changed.
The three of them dashed at the disciples of the Moon River Sect like a pack of wolves attacking a flock of sheep, wantonly killing anyone in their path. Ling Xiao wasn’t some kind of saint who would go easy on his opponent in the first place, while Cheng Qiantai had ordered Li Yuanhuan to kill everyone on sight. The two ruthlessly killed disciples of the Moon River Sect, leaving a trail of blood behind them.
Qian Hai also bravely fought. An ominous glint flashed in his eyes as he brandished his sword, massacring the disciples of the Moon River Sect who were weaker than he was.
It didn’t take long for Ling Xiao, Li Yuanhuan, and the other disciples to exterminate the disciples of the Moon River Sect.
Ling Xiao and Li Yuanhuan wore pained expressions as they looked at their disciples. They set off with about 30 of them, yet now only 7 or 8 were still alive. The same held true for the Everlasting Pool Sect, causing for sorrow to show in Qian Hai’s eyes.
“Moon River Sect!” Even if they killed all the disciples of the Moon River Sect, their Sect Master was still standing. Ling Xiao and the rest cast wrathful gazes at You Songxi who was crossing blows with Cheng Qiantai and Qian Gui.
The battle between those three was extremely intense.
Even though You Songxi’s was equally matched with the both of them, common sense said he should find it difficult to fend off two pairs of hands with his fists alone. Yet, this battle was a little strange.
You Songxi danced freely with his halberd in hand. Countless blue halberd shadows shot toward Cheng Qiantai and Qian Gui, seemingly possessing a will of their own.
Qian Gui rigorously brandished his snickersnees, forming a blue light sphere in the process as he bundled himself inside. Those halberd shadows brushed against the blue light sphere like water droplets falling on the surface of the ocean, disappearing without a trace.
Cheng Qiantai brandished his bronze machete. Multiple afterimages of the machete flew out, sending You Songxi’s halberd flying.
Looking at the situation, it seemed as though Cheng Qiantai and Qian Gui couldn’t retaliate against You Songxi’s attack at all!
Everyone was puzzled. Just what was going on? Could it be that You Songxi actually had the strength of two blue ranked Celestial Soul Masters?
